Big Sky, even though a popular beautiful attraction, still operates as a very small mountain town. This catches a lot of people by surprise! Therefore, transportation and internet are both limited once you exit Bozeman and wander off into the mountains.

Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) is located roughly one hour north of Big Sky. This is the closest airport to fly into.

It is recommended that you rent a vehicle. However if this is not an option, car pooling and public transportation are available.

This is just a friendly reminder that as you approach the Gallatin Gateway area, you will not only be faced with some insanely beautiful views, but you will also have zero cellphone reception/service until you turn into the Big Sky area. The breathtaking beauty of this area is something to look forward to.

Depending on the flow of traffic and construction obstructions on any given day, I plan for 30-45 minutes. Please note that this is an estimate and actual travel time may vary.

Otherwise, cell reception in the resort is pretty reliable.

The information below will be a helpful guide for those of you who need to commute into Big Sky Ski Village via car to hop on the shuttle day of ceremony
1. The Huntley hotel has valet parking. For non-guests it will be $40 per car/per day
2. The Summit is $75 per car/per day (closet to the event). This is the location of the reception and where the shuttles are picking up & dropping off.
3. The Exchange lot parking is free after 5:00pm which is just adjacent to the Summit building where the reception is.

Shuttles will be available from Big Sky Resort to the Hastings Cabin on the wedding day due to limited parking space on the mountain. Please visit the itinerary tab to read more about the shuttles. Thank you!
